Great melody, not so great samples.

The melody is awesome, really fricking awesome. I mean, it sounds like a melody from some final fantasy game, seriously! The buildup and the chors you use here really makes me think it actually CAME from final fantasy ;). You really got the right feeling into it. Sadly, the bass notes that keeps repeating doesn't sound too great. I've also had that problem, or i still do.. I'd like to use some drum samples, but i never find any good ones. Oh well, this is really great!

Haha. Mario at a rave party!

Man what a sight that would be.

This made me smile :). Be it that it's a good old mario tune or whatever, this is really fun and awesome. Throw in a little altered mario solo in the middle of this and it would be even more fun to listen to. Great job!

At the junk yard..

Or at the construction site/industrial site in a game. This could easily be the theme for Dr.Robotnik when he's fiddling with some nasty and evil stuff, trying to figure out a way to destroy sonic. I love the main synth, sounds like a authentic sound that would come from the SNES sound chip. Great track!

thanks :) i never was a big fan of sonic though, i was on the nintendo side -_-

Video Game + Orchestral Melody = <3

Damn.. Damn, damn...

That's exactly how i'm hearing this, it's a combination of something that would normally be heard in a orchestrated piece with sounds you would hear in video game music, the result is simply awesome! Once again yo've captured this great feeling in the track, the feeling of despair, beauty and calmness, being ZEN..
Awesome! :)

If only i could get 'dor mirage' to upload. Its even better a track. ;(
(but the extension doesnt allow me to upload it.. sigh)

Beatiful :)

The sounds you use to create this track makes it sounds really minimalistic, up until 2:02 that is when the shit really hits the fan. For a brief time there's a little more going on then in the beginning , and then it goes back to the same calm and beautiful build up. First time listening i didn't even notice it loopin, sounds superb at that point, actually at all points.. Great job man!

Thank you very much, im glad you think its beautiful. I take pride in this track. Its the 'main theme of TTC afterall. :)

Whats the word i'm looking for?

Oh i got it.. It's "WOW".

A perfect score for a perfect film right? Well as i see it a movie reaches its "perfect status" through the music it uses, and if this was to be in a move it would be damn near perfection.

If i may ask you.. Do you personally know Hans Zimmer, are you related to him or are you just a dedicated composer? ;)

Thanks so much, the sound isn't quite just right yet. But im trying my hardest to get that sound im looking for.

As for Hans, yeah. I do know him yeah. the bum stole $5 from me.

haha, I wish! Thanks so much for the compliments, a review like this really gives me a drive to improve and make more. :D

Mushroom smoking lollipops

Allright, this is kinda cool :D It's short, but with potential to be an awesome, action packed video game track! The sounds you use sound great. It seems so hard to find decent sounding 8-bit sounds to work with, but here ou've got a bunch of 'em.

May i ask from where you got them or what plugin you used? ;)

Calamaistr responds:

I used 'vanguard' in fruity loops, it has great oldstyle nitpicks.
But you also need to ignore all the dance synths it contains.

Its short for the sake of awsem loop.

If you have awsem loop, it needs no big!

But ofcourse i can make much longer tracks, i composed this one more like a start-screen theme. :)

Oh golly :D

Haha! This is even crazier than the other one :D. And just as awesome!

Okay now im positive.. I HAVE to be drunk!

You're really creative with your melodies, the 2 track i just listened to BOTH have theese crazy and dopey melodies which seem really hard to make to me :D. Keep it up!

NeverHundred responds:

Well your style is more conventional, but it's definitely more complex and varied than a lot of the other synthesized stuff that I've heard on the portal.

If it wasn't for those meddling kids...

Haha :D Did i just get drunk? Becouse this sure sounds like i am.. Actually i like it! :)

It's original, apparently it doesn't follow the common chord/melody construction and it's just FUN. Awesome :)

I forgot to respond to this. You see I went to go listen to your music and never really got the chance. Yes I have reason to believe you did in fact just get drunk. Sergeon General Warning: Do not listen to Never Hundred's music if you plan on driving or using heavy machinery... for it will cause drunkenness.

Sure is insane ;P

My speakers are suffering a bit from this track :S. Other than that, it's awesome. Sure sounds insane, like you were to encounter some kind of boss in a game or something. Melody is great and doesn't get boring becouse of the great combination with the drums. Keep it up!
